The cute and quite funny action-RPG Another Crab's Treasure has arrived on PC and consoles. In it, the player must control a hermit crab underwater. The independent studio Aggro Crab worked on the creation of the game.
According to the developers, gamers will experience an adventure story in the spirit of Dark Souls, set in a dying underwater kingdom. The main character will have to find funds to buy back the shell that was taken from him, for which he needs to explore the bottom of the ocean in search of valuable items. Also, during the passage, the crab will have to reveal the secret of a certain substance that threatens the underwater world.
In addition to moving around locations, the crab will have to fight with representatives of the local fauna, most often these will be larger species of animals. During the battles, the protagonist will be able to use various scraps at hand and so-called “umami techniques”, which he will receive from other creatures. The authors also made over fifty shells that can be changed and thereby influence the gameplay.
On Steam, the game already has a 97% rating with 276 reviews. Players love the cartoonish feel, light atmosphere, and shell-swapping mechanics that bring something fresh to the genre. The game is currently available with a 10% discount.
