Amazon has acquired the film rights to The Sims

Another contender was Netflix streaming, but the authors want to fully release the film on big movie screens.



Keith Harron (“Loki”) will direct the project. She will also write the script along with Bryony Redman (“Doctor Who”). The film will be produced by Margot Robbie (“Barbie,” “Suicide Squad”) and her production company LuckyChap. It is likely that the actress will get one of the roles. There are no details about the cast or release date for the film adaptation; the film is in the early stages of development.
