Batteries of this size already exist on the market, but the new product will differ in design and size.
According to insider information from Digital Chat Station, OnePlus and OPPO brands are developing a 7000 mAh battery. Currently, Samsung Galaxy F62 and Galaxy M51 smartphones have components of this volume. The future battery will have a different design, where the graphite anode will be replaced with a silicon-carbon anode. By using a different material, the mAh/gram density will increase, but the battery dimensions will not change or even become slightly smaller. For example, the recently presented OnePlus silicon-based battery with a capacity of 6100 mAh is 3% smaller in size compared to a conventional 5000 mAh battery.
In addition, Digital Chat Station reports that the new battery will appear in mid-price smartphones. Before this, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro mid-range model received a 6100 mAh battery.
