GTA 6 will not be available for subscription at release
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick spoke about this.
In a conversation with GamesIndustry.biz, Zelnick said that Take-Two is not against opening access to its old titles via subscription, but he is against providing such an opportunity for new AAA games. As an argument, Zelnick cited the example of Microsoft and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which will appear in the Game Pass subscription upon release in October. According to Zelnick, this method can attract players to purchase a subscription, but this will not last long.
GTA 6 is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2025 on PS5 and Xbox Series.
