Grand Theft Auto series turns 27
On November 28, 1997, the world first saw the very first Grand Theft Auto, a game that laid the foundation for one of the most iconic franchises in video game history. Since then, the series has become synonymous with freedom of action, gripping stories, and detailed open worlds. GTA invites players to immerse themselves in the criminal underworld, where they will have the opportunity to complete missions, explore huge cities, and interact with the environment.
To date, there have been 7 games in the main line of the series: from the original GTA to Grand Theft Auto V. Each part represented an evolution of gameplay, graphics, and storytelling, setting new standards for the genre.
Ahead of fans, GTA 6 awaits, officially announced by Rockstar. The game is expected to be released in the fall of 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and possibly later on PC. Significant improvements in graphics, an expanded world, and a return to the iconic city of Vice City are promised.
