Lamborghini delays first electric car until end of decade
The Italian automaker known for its supercars has revised its plans to electrify its lineup. Although the company had previously announced its intention to introduce its first all-electric car in 2028, the launch has been delayed until at least 2029.

Last year, Lamborghini showed off the Lanzador concept with a 1 MW electric motor and plans to begin the transition to electric vehicles after 2025. However, the company's management decided to focus on hybrid technology, adapting to current market conditions and customer preferences.

Lamborghini delays first electric car until end of decade

There are two reasons for the delay. Firstly, the company believes that the market is not yet ready for a mass transition to electric cars, and the demand does not justify the accelerated introduction of an electric lineup. Secondly, the charging infrastructure and battery technology require significant development to meet Lamborghini's standards.

The company's CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, noted that hybrid models allow the brand to maintain its signature driving experience while smoothly transitioning to a new era without losing their uniqueness.

For now, Lamborghini continues to produce hybrid supercars that combine high performance with elements of sustainable development. The company will be closely monitoring the market situation before finally entering the world of fully electric technologies.
