The studio has released the debut teaser for the film adaptation of the cult interactive horror Until Dawn from Supermassive Games. The film will hit theaters on April 25 and promises to offer a fresh take on the original story.
The cinematic version of Until Dawn will take viewers to an empty tourist center, where several young people find themselves locked in a time loop. To break it, the heroes will have to survive one night full of deadly dangers. However, the task is complicated by the presence of a ruthless maniac terrorizing the area.
The director of the film is David F. Sandberg, who became famous for the films Annabelle: Creation and two parts of the DC comic book film Shazam!. The script is written by Gary Dauberman, who worked on such projects as It and Annabelle. Of the original cast of the game, only Peter Stormare appeared in the film, again playing Dr. Hill.
The film will not be a direct repetition of the events of the game, but an independent work, rethinking the plot and adding new elements.
