In response to negative feedback from players, EA has prepared a significant update for EA Sports FC 25, called the Gameplay Refresh Update. This patch includes over fifty changes affecting key aspects of the gameplay.
The main improvements concern such aspects as passes, shots, defensive actions, and goalkeeper actions. For example, the situation was corrected when defenders were too often catching up with players with the ball, and the overall smoothness of the game in attack was improved - now ball control has become more comfortable. Changes were also made to the behavior of the AI: the frequency of interceptions and reverse tackles was reduced, and the effectiveness of cutting high passes with one touch was significantly reduced.
Gamers will also notice improvements in the support of their teammates if they act in their usual roles, and more accurate determination of offside, especially when making runs in attack. In addition, the accuracy of shots within the penalty area has slightly increased.
