Fallout: Nuevo Mexico Mod Development Has Officially Ended
The fan project Fallout: Nuevo Mexico, which was supposed to take players to a post-apocalyptic New Mexico, is no longer in development. Lead developer Zapshock announced the closure of the ambitious modification, explaining that the small team was tired and could no longer cope with the workload.

Fallout: Nuevo Mexico Mod Development Has Officially Ended

The mod took several years and thousands of hours to create, but it was impossible to complete it under the current conditions. The team consisted of only a few people, and the volume of remaining tasks, as well as the financial costs, became unbearable. Interestingly, this is not the first time that the development of Fallout: Nuevo Mexico was suspended. In the summer of 2024, Zapshock suddenly disappeared from social networks, but a few months later, work on the mod resumed, and a trailer was released. Now the project is finally closed.

Such cases are not uncommon for the Fallout fan community. Last fall, a similar fate befell Project Mojave - another large-scale mod that was never completed.
