The signature feature of these brands' smartphones — a convenient mechanical mode switch slider — may soon disappear. According to insider Digital Chat Station, manufacturers are preparing to replace it with a new "action button" similar to the latest iPhone models.

The source claims that the first OnePlus device with such a control element will be presented in March. Unlike the standard volume switch, the button will be programmable: users will be able to configure it for different actions, such as launching applications or turning on different modes.
Earlier, OnePlus already released the 10T model without a proprietary slider, explaining this by the lack of free space inside the case. However, the brand's roadmap published by the insider does not include new releases in March. This may indicate that the device belongs to OPPO, although there is no official confirmation yet.
