Dune: Awakening Coming May 20, 2025 — Character Creator and Benchmark Now Available
Funcom, the studio known for the game Conan Exiles, announced the exact release date of the multiplayer MMO Dune: Awakening. The project will appear on PC on May 20, 2025, at a price of $50, and will later be released for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Along with the announcement, the developers provided users with the opportunity to try out the free character editor on Steam to create their own hero in advance. A benchmark was also released to check the system's performance before the release.
The game's plot will unfold on the desert planet Arrakis in an alternate universe where Duke Leto Atreides remained alive. The events will take place in 10199, which is eight years after the story told in the film Dune by director Denis Villeneuve.
