New data from GFHK Tech Research analyst Jeff Pu confirms that Apple is planning to increase the RAM in the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. According to the leaked investor note, both models will receive 12 GB of RAM, while the current versions of the iPhone 15 Pro are equipped with only 8 GB.
Earlier, insider Ming-Chi Kuo stated that only the iPhone 17 Pro Max will get this amount of RAM. However, fresh information points to an expansion of the specifications for both flagships of the series.
Apple considers 8 GB to be the minimum required for Apple Intelligence to work - the memory increase is likely due to the integration of new neural network functions in future devices.
