Windows Central: Xbox Portable Console Coming Late 2025, But Not From Microsoft
According to Windows Central columnist Jez Corden, Microsoft plans to introduce a mobile gaming device under the Xbox brand by the end of 2025. The project, known under the code name Keenan, is not being developed by Microsoft itself, but by a third-party company.

Potential developers of the gadget include ASUS, Lenovo, MSI, Razer and others. The new product will receive an Xbox-style design, a separate Xbox Guide key, as well as a Windows OS, which guarantees compatibility with the Microsoft ecosystem.

In addition, Corden said that Microsoft has already given the green light for the development of a new generation of Xbox. A full-fledged successor to the Xbox Series X will not be released until 2027. The console is expected to become even closer to the PC, which will simplify the creation of ports of game titles and allow the integration of third-party marketplaces such as Steam.

In 2027, Microsoft is also expected to release new gamepads and its own mobile console, which will become an alternative to the device being developed by a third-party manufacturer.
