Assassin’s Creed Shadows Breaks into Steam’s Top Sales Before Release

Despite skeptical forecasts, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is demonstrating high pre-release sales. A few days before the release, the historical action game rose to seventh place in the top of the best-selling games on Steam, although the day before it was in tenth place. This indicates a gradually growing interest in the project.



Ubisoft previously stated that the number of Shadows pre-orders is comparable to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, but without disclosing specific figures. This raised doubts among some insiders who believe that the company may be exaggerating the success of the title.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be released on March 20 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, physical copies have already begun to appear in a number of retail stores.
