The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric car continues to demonstrate impressive capabilities. After successful tests on the race track, the new product competed in a 400 m drag race against the Tesla Model S Plaid - and was able to overtake its more expensive competitor.
The video that appeared online shows that at the start, the Tesla car pulled ahead, but after a few seconds, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra caught up and confidently overtook it, finishing the race with a noticeable lead. The high dynamics of the Chinese electric car is provided by a power of 1,548 hp, which allows it to accelerate to 100 km/h in only 1.98 seconds.
For comparison, the Tesla Model S Plaid has a power of just over 1,000 hp, but costs $22,000 more. In the US, its price starts at $95,000, while the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is estimated at $72,800.
