Giants Software has released Farming Simulator 16-Bit Edition, a special version of the cult simulator, stylized as classic games of the 90s. The authors recreated the atmosphere of that era, adding pixel visuals, hand-made sprites and authentic sound effects. Chris Huelsbeck, who became famous for his work on Turrican, is responsible for the soundtrack.
The initiator of the project was Renzo Tönen, co-owner of Giants Software and lead level designer. Being a big fan of old-school games, he implemented the idea in a few weekends, combining the spirit of the classics with traditional mechanics of a farming simulator.
The title has already gone on sale on the official portal for $15.
