Microsoft Updates Windows 11 'Screen of Death' - Blue Background Gone
Windows 11 has seen some notable changes to the design of the "screen of death". Instead of the usual blue background, it now has a green one, and the sad smiley ":(" and QR code have disappeared from the interface.

The updated notification about critical failures first appeared in the Insider Preview 26120.3653 test build. The changes are in line with the new minimalist concept of Windows 11 - the design has become simpler, and unnecessary elements have been removed to make system recovery more convenient.

The update was initially tested by Windows Insiders in versions 24H2 and later builds available in the Beta, Dev, and Canary channels. After successful testing, the new "screen of death" became available to all users.
