The DMC fan community has been in a heated debate after an interview with actor Ruben Langdon, who has voiced Dante since the third installment of the series. In a conversation with YouTube channel CultureScape, he accidentally mentioned the sixth installment of the franchise, which many took as a leak of information about the development of Devil May Cry 6.
Although Langdon quickly corrected himself, some of the audience is convinced that this was not just a slip of the tongue. Some fans recalled that ten years ago, the actor similarly let slip about the existence of DMC5 before its official announcement, and suggest that history may be repeating itself. It is also emphasized that Langdon has repeatedly worked with Capcom on the series and is unlikely to confuse the numbering of the games, especially if we are talking about a continuation of the main line, and not spin-offs or reboots.

Capcom has not yet commented on the possible existence of Devil May Cry 6, so it is impossible to confirm or deny the rumors. Meanwhile, the brand lives on beyond video games — in early April, Netflix released an animated series based on the franchise, created by Adi Shankar, known for adapting Castlevania. The series has already received high marks, scoring 94% on Rotten Tomatoes.
