The Last of Us Season 2 Got High Ratings, But Wasn't Without Criticism
Critics have already gotten a taste of Season 2, and early reviews are generally positive. The sequel has a 92% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an 83 out of 100 on Metacritic, indicating a strong start.

According to reviewers, the show maintains the high quality established by the first season and even reaches a deeper, darker emotional level. The final episodes are said to be able to touch viewers. Reviewers also praised the changes made to the original game's plot, which made the story more voluminous and dramatic.

The acting once again became one of the highlights of the season. Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey received a lot of praise, and Isabela Merced and Kaitlyn Dever, who joined the cast as Dina and Abby, were also memorable to critics. Some, however, noted that Dever did not get enough screen time.

The action scenes in the new season were especially well received. A Mashable journalist compared one of the scenes involving the Clickers to the iconic episode "Hardhome" from "Game of Thrones", which speaks to the impressive production.

However, there were some criticisms. The most controversial moment was the ending - viewers will only see the first part of the story of the second game, and therefore the season ends on an important cliffhanger. In addition, critics mentioned the uneven pacing of the narrative and the lack of development of some secondary plot lines.

The second season will premiere on April 13.
