Microsoft May Stop Making Consoles After Next-Gen Xbox
According to authoritative insider Tom Henderson, Microsoft is considering abandoning the production of gaming consoles after the release of the next generation of Xbox. In his appearance on the Insider Gaming podcast, the journalist said that the company will focus on other areas of the gaming business, ending the "arms race" with Sony.

This information is indirectly confirmed by recent rumors about Microsoft's plans to release a hybrid device in 2027 that combines the features of a console and a mini PC, as well as reports of the possible integration of the Steam platform into the Xbox ecosystem. The changes in the company's strategy became especially noticeable after the decision to publish exclusive games on competitors' platforms, including PlayStation.

Henderson emphasizes that for now these are his personal assumptions based on an analysis of Microsoft's current trends. However, the sequence of the company's steps does indicate a gradual move away from the traditional console model in favor of a more universal approach to the gaming business.
