The companies presented a joint project — the portable Xbox ROG Ally console, which combines the functionality of a gaming platform with the functionality of an OS. The device will be available in two versions: the standard ROG Ally and the advanced ROG Ally X.

The basic console will receive an AMD Ryzen Z2 A chipset, 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD drive. The second version of the ROG Ally X will have a flagship AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme chipset, 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal memory. Both consoles use a 7-inch FullHD display, with a 120 Hz refresh rate and support for VRR technology, which ensures smooth picture display without tearing.

Microsoft has adapted the Xbox interface for convenient control with a controller — now users will be able to log in, launch a game and configure settings without using a touch screen. The proprietary Xbox key provides quick access to the main menu.

The release of Xbox ROG Ally is scheduled for winter 2026. Information about the price of the gadgets is still unknown. The new product is positioned as a hybrid solution for fans of console and PC gaming.
