Insider reveals specs and price of Apple's foldable iPhone
Renowned industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shared details about Apple's first foldable smartphone, including the expected release date, specifications, and price range. The device will feature a main foldable screen with a diagonal of about 7.8 inches and an external display measuring 5.5 inches. Unlike the current iPhone flagships, the new product will feature a Touch ID fingerprint scanner built into the power button, but will lose the Face ID facial recognition system due to design limitations.

The case, 9–9.5 mm thick when folded and 4.5–4.8 mm when unfolded, will be made of stainless steel and titanium alloy, which will provide increased strength. In terms of cameras, the smartphone will receive a dual main camera and a single front camera. Among the key features of the device, the analyst notes an expanded set of functions based on artificial intelligence and an improved multitasking mode for working with applications.
According to Kuo, the final specifications of the foldable iPhone will be confirmed in the second quarter of 2025, after which the project will begin the launch phase in the third quarter. Mass production of the device will start only at the end of 2026, and the estimated retail price will be between $2,000 and $2,500. This will make the foldable iPhone one of the most expensive smartphones in Apple's lineup, positioning it as a premium product for fans of innovative solutions.
