According to the latest information from StatCounter, the gap between Windows 10 and 11 continues to shrink at lightning speed. At the start of June, Windows 10's share of the global market was 48.92%, while Windows 11 was on 47.73% of computers — the difference has dropped to a minimum of 1.19%. Experts note that the current growth in popularity of Windows 11 has become the most significant since its release in 2021.

The main reason for the mass transition of users to the new OS is the imminent end of support for Windows 10, scheduled for the fall of 2025. Consumers are actively upgrading their hardware, buying fresh PC builds, or manually installing Windows 11 on old devices. But a year ago, Windows 10 occupied 66% of the market, and Windows 11 — only 30%, but since then the situation has changed significantly.
Microsoft continues to stimulate the transition to the current version of the system by developing tools for convenient data transfer between devices. The company hopes that this decision will help overcome the psychological barrier among conservative users and finally consolidate the leadership of Windows 11 in the coming months.
