Xiaomi Announces Redmi Branded Gamepad for Mobile Gaming

Xiaomi has unveiled a new gaming controller under the Redmi brand, designed for smartphones and tablets. During the demonstration, the device was connected to a Redmi KPad tablet, where Black Myth: Wukong was launched via Steam Remote Play, demonstrating compatibility with cloud gaming and PC games.



The gamepad is equipped with a backlight, vibration feedback, and supports fine-tuning via a proprietary application - users can adjust the sensitivity of the sticks, trigger response, reassign buttons, and update the firmware. The device received universal retractable latches for attaching gadgets of different sizes, and its modular design allows it to be used as a single controller or divided into two independent units with separate batteries and charge indicators.



The estimated price and release date have not yet been disclosed, but Xiaomi is expected to present the new product in detail on June 26 at one of its events. The gamepad is positioned as a solution for mobile and cloud gaming, complementing the ecosystem of Redmi devices.
