Koenigsegg Unveils Exclusive Sadair’s Spear Hypercar With Record-Breaking Power
Swedish automaker Koenigsegg has announced a limited edition of the Sadair’s Spear hypercar, equipped with a 5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. When using E85 biofuel, the power plant develops 1,625 horsepower and 1,500 Nm of torque, making the new model one of the most powerful road cars in the world.
The company's engineers managed to reduce the weight of the structure by 35 kilograms compared to previous models, reaching 1,385 kg. Improved aerodynamic characteristics are provided by a two-bladed spoiler, front canards, an enlarged air intake and an optimized bottom. The car is equipped with a carbon fiber body, a removable hardtop, an improved suspension and braking system, as well as wide tires for maximum traction.
A special feature of the model is the proprietary Light Speed Transmission, controlled exclusively through the steering wheel paddles. Despite its extreme performance, including a top speed of 360 km/h, the hypercar is fully road legal. The manufacturer limited the production to just 30 Sadair’s Spears, each valued at over $5 million. According to the company, the entire run has already been sold to wealthy collectors.
