Tesla Makes First Fully Autonomous Electric Car Delivery
Tesla has reached a major technological milestone by completing the first-ever fully autonomous delivery of an electric vehicle from the factory to the owner. The Model Y, equipped with the Full Self-Driving (FSD) system, completed a single-handed drive on public roads in Texas without any human intervention — no driver at the wheel, no remote operator.
According to Elon Musk, this is the first time a Tesla has completed such a drive in real-world road conditions. Engineer Ashok Elluswamy elaborated on the details of the test drive: Model Y reached speeds of up to 70 mph on the highway, obeying all traffic laws, and successfully coped with both city streets and highways.

While other companies, including Waymo and Aurora, are also testing autonomous systems, their vehicles are currently operating in limited testing and are not carrying out commercial transportation. Tesla's successful delivery marks a special milestone in the development of FSD technology, which has been repeatedly delayed - Musk promised fully autonomous cars back in 2017, but only now is Tesla showing real results.
