Capcom has finally closed the multiplayer Resident Evil Re:Verse
Capcom has ended the life cycle of the unsuccessful multiplayer project Resident Evil Re:Verse, finally turning off the game servers on June 30, 2025. This step was a logical end for the game, which has failed to gain popularity among players since its release in October 2022.

Originally released for the 25th anniversary of the franchise as an add-on to Resident Evil Village, Re:Verse offered a PvP mode featuring famous characters from the series. However, meager content and technical problems immediately caused a wave of criticism. Before completely closing the project, Capcom gradually curtailed its support: in the spring of 2025, the game disappeared from digital stores, and then the developers disabled in-game purchases.

Statistics from the Steam service indicate the failed position of the project - on the last day of work, the maximum number of simultaneous players was only 96 people, and the historical peak online did not exceed 2.1 thousand users. The closure marks another failed attempt by Capcom to create a successful multiplayer project in the Resident Evil universe.
