GTA 6 Online May Increase Player Limit to 96 Per Server
According to insiders, the GTA 6 Online multiplayer mode (codenamed GTA6MP) in current tests supports up to 64 players on a single server - twice as many as in the existing GTA Online. However, as former editor Rockstar Mag Fravilys claims, the developers are considering increasing this number to 96 players, which will radically change the population density of the game world.

The key innovation will be the technology of seamless interaction between different game sessions, allowing you to participate in multiplayer activities without having to restart or change the lobby. For comparison, even the current limit of 32 players in GTA Online often makes the vast map deserted, and an increase in the number of users should add dynamics and spontaneity to the gameplay.

Although these numbers are significantly inferior to the capabilities of modified FiveM servers (acquired by Rockstar in 2022), where thousands of players can be at the same time, experts believe that 90-100 users represent the optimal balance between the liveliness of the world and a controlled level of chaos. There has been no official comment from Rockstar Games regarding the exact specifications of GTA 6 Online or its launch date yet - it is unknown whether the mode will be available immediately upon the release of the main game on May 26, 2026, or will appear later.
