Ubisoft Announces New Part of Ghost Recon Series

Publisher Ubisoft has officially announced the development of the next game in the popular tactical action franchise. Confirmation came from the head of the studio, Yves Guillemot, during a financial report presentation for investors. Although specific details of the project are not disclosed, rumors about the upcoming release have been circulating in the gaming community for some time.

According to insiders, the new part of Ghost Recon will receive an unusual first-person perspective for the series and more realistic gameplay, closer to military simulators. The story campaign will reportedly be built around a fictional international conflict called the "Naimani War".
According to journalist Tom Henderson, the project was already in the final stages of production by the start of 2025. Closed alpha tests of the shooter are scheduled for the fall of this year, and the official announcement is expected to take place in 2026. This will be the first new game in the franchise since the relatively unsuccessful Wildlands and Breakpoint projects, released in 2017 and 2019, respectively.
