Twitch Confirms Different Release Dates for Grand Theft Auto 6 Single-Player and Multiplayer Modes

During an interview with MeinMMO, Twitch's Head of Monetization Mike Minton revealed details of the platform's collaboration with Rockstar Games to promote GTA 6. The streaming service is preparing for large-scale support for the project from the moment of release, but the initial strategy will be focused exclusively on the single-player mode. This indicates that the multiplayer component will appear in the game later than the main release.

Minton also hinted at the possible appearance of official RP servers in GTA 6 as part of the long-term support for the project. Rockstar Games is considering various options for interacting with the community, including official support for modifications. As for the PC version, a Twitch representative suggested that its release will take place after the implementation of online features in the console versions of the game.

The official release of GTA 6 is scheduled for May 26, 2026 for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S platforms.
