Battlefield 6 Will Revive Iconic Maps and Improve the Bot System

Developers from DICE revealed new details about the upcoming shooter Battlefield 6 during the presentation of the multiplayer mode in Hong Kong. The main focus was on the return of classic maps from previous parts of the franchise, which were especially loved by fans of the series. Among the confirmed locations was Operation Firestorm from Battlefield 3, and references to maps such as Talah Market (BF3), Propaganda (BF4) and Downtown (BF Hardline) were found in the game files.

The development team emphasized that the choice of maps for return will be based on the preferences of the community in order to recreate the atmosphere of the "golden era" of the series. In addition, Battlefield 6 will implement a seasonal content system with new weapons, modes and maps, and regular quarterly updates are planned. Another feature will be the return of bots, which first appeared in Battlefield 2042 - they will fill the servers when there is an insufficient number of live players.

Battlefield 6 is set to release on October 10 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game's open beta will begin on August 7 at 11:00 Moscow time, and pre-loading is now available on all platforms.
