Apple Developing Budget MacBook With A18 Pro Processor

According to DigiTimes, citing informed sources in the supply chain, Apple is working on an affordable MacBook laptop with a 12.9-inch display and a powerful A18 Pro chipset. The estimated cost of the new product will be from $599-699, which will make it the most budget model in the MacBook line. The device is planned to be manufactured at Quanta, and its market launch is expected at the end of 2025 or at the beginning of 2026.

It is assumed that the upcoming MacBook will feature an ultra-thin and lightweight case, and will also be available in four color options: silver, blue, pink and yellow. DigiTimes analysts predict that Apple will be able to sell 5-7 million of these devices annually, which can increase total MacBook sales by 30-40% compared to the current figures of 17 million devices per year.
