New BioShock Chief: Rod Ferguson Re-Assisted as Series 4's Savior
The developments around BioShock 4 are taking on the character of déjà vu for a key figure in the history of the franchise. After mass layoffs at Cloud Chamber, the studio developing the long-awaited sequel, project management was entrusted to industry veteran Rod Ferguson. This personnel reshuffle looks symbolic, since more than ten years ago Ferguson was sent to Irrational Games with a similar mission to save the BioShock Infinite project and successfully brought it to release. The developer himself confirmed on his social networks that from now on he will oversee the entire BioShock franchise.

The reason for such drastic measures was the unsatisfactory state of the new part, and, according to insiders, the management of the parent company Take-Two Interactive was dissatisfied primarily with the shooter's script. Earlier, rumors about problems in the game's production had already circulated on the Internet, which prompted the head of Take-Two to officially deny them, but subsequent events indicate the presence of serious difficulties. Along with the revision of the fourth part, the publisher decided to freeze the production of the remake of the first game in the series.
