Treyarch studio representative Miles Leslie said in an interview at the gamescom 2025 event that the team continues to use AI tools when working on the upcoming shooter. According to him, this functionality is used only to optimize workflows, and all generated content undergoes careful manual revision by the authors. Leslie also admitted that the addition of untested AI content to Black Ops 6, including the famous case of the loading screen with a six-fingered zombie Santa, was an accident.

The deputy creative director emphasized that technology does not replace employees, but only helps speed up production processes. At the same time, he did not give a clear explanation why problematic content was not eliminated from the previous part of the series. The release of the title is scheduled for November 14, 2025 on all major platforms.
