Xiaomi Prepares for Global Expansion of Its Electric Vehicles

Chinese company Xiaomi has announced plans to enter international markets with its electric vehicles, which are currently available exclusively in China. During the presentation of the financial report, the company's president William Lu confirmed that preparations for sales in Europe are in the active research stage, and the estimated start of sales is scheduled for 2027.

In the domestic market, Xiaomi electric vehicles are showing record figures: 81,302 cars were sold in the second quarter of 2025, which is almost three times more than the results of the same period last year. The popularity of the SU7 and YU7 models has led to the formation of long queues - the waiting period for deliveries is from 41 to 58 weeks, respectively. The financial performance of the division is also impressive: revenue reached $ 2.87 billion with a gross profit of 26.4%. Global expansion will be the next stage of development of the automotive direction for the tech giant.
