Hideo Kojima has abandoned the development of Death Stranding 3

Japanese game designer Hideo Kojima has announced that there are no plans to create a third part of Death Stranding, considering the franchise's history to be complete. Despite the presence of preliminary concept sketches, the developer emphasized that a potential sequel, if it ever happens, will be implemented by another team without his direct participation. Kojima is currently fully focused on two new projects - the spy action game Physint and the horror OD, created in collaboration with Jordan Pill.

At the recent celebration of his 62nd birthday, the game designer confirmed his intention to continue working in the industry until old age, but admitted that age restrictions naturally reduce the number of potential projects that he will be able to implement in the future.
