Activision has refused to transfer cosmetics from Black Ops 6 to Black Ops 7

Call of Duty developers have decided not to carry over customization items from Black Ops 6, including skins like Beavis and Butt-head, to the upcoming Black Ops 7. According to Activision, this is due to the desire to maintain the atmospheric integrity and correspondence to the military setting of the new game. At the same time, all content from the previous part will be available in Warzone, which demonstrates a differentiated approach to different game modes.

In-game boosters and Double XP tokens will retain their functionality in the upcoming part, as the publisher "values ​​​​gamers' time." The community reaction is divided: some fans approve of the return to the traditional aesthetics of the series, while others note the commercial subtext of the decision - the possibility of re-selling content in the future. This decision marks a change in strategy after a period of active crossovers, which drew criticism for violating the stylistic integrity of the franchise.
