Debut teaser for Silent Hill 2 film adaptation 'Return to Silent Hill' revealed

Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting have released the first teaser for Return to Silent Hill, a film based on the cult game Silent Hill 2. It features the main characters played by Jeremy Irvine (James) and Hannah Emily Anderson (Mary), as well as key monsters from the franchise, including Pyramid Head. The director of the project is Christophe Gans, who previously worked on the first film adaptation of Silent Hill in 2006.

The creators emphasize the use of practical effects and makeup to recreate the atmosphere of the game, while the monsters were embodied by professional acrobats and dancers. According to Gans, the film will tell a story about love that forces you to go through hell to save a loved one. The premiere of the film is scheduled for January 23, 2026 in international distribution.
