Cyberpunk 2077 Becomes Major Source of Income for CD Projekt RED

According to the financial report of the Polish studio CD Projekt RED for the first half of 2025, the game Cyberpunk 2077, together with the Phantom Liberty add-on, continues to be the company's main profit generator. CFO Piotr Nielubowicz confirmed that the revenue from this project allows funding the development of new games, while the total development costs in the reporting period exceeded 240 million zlotys.

Despite the dominance of Cyberpunk 2077 in the current financial indicators, the most successful game in the studio's history remains The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with more than 60 million copies sold. Cyberpunk 2077 demonstrates stable results with 30 million basic copies sold and 10 million copies of the Phantom Liberty add-on. The funds received from sales are actively reinvested in the studio's promising projects, including the new Witcher trilogy and the continuation of the cyberpunk universe.
