Metal Gear Solid Delta Collector's Edition Disappoints Fans
Buyers of the American version of the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Collector's Edition have expressed strong dissatisfaction with the quality of the content, especially the diorama with the main character. Reddit users point out numerous discrepancies with the pre-release images, including an unexplained scar on the character's forehead and a general decrease in detail. For a set costing $200, fans call it a "pathetic piece of work" and an obvious saving on the part of Konami.
At the same time, the European Collector's Edition received positive reviews thanks to a high-quality bust of Snake, a vinyl record with the soundtrack, and thoughtful souvenirs.
The remake of the game itself, released on August 28 on all modern platforms, was warmly received by critics and players, but the scandal with the Collector's Edition overshadowed the overall impression of the release. The difference in quality of the regional versions of the special edition caused additional confusion in the community.
