Left 4 Dead creator announces new co-op shooter
Video game industry veteran Mike Booth, one of the main authors of Left 4 Dead, announced the start of production of a new co-op shooter for four gamers at Bad Robot Games. The title, which is in the early stages of development, is positioned as a spiritual successor to the cult duology, but with expanded game mechanics and increased replayability. Booth emphasized that he had been hatching ideas for improving the cooperative formula for a long time.

Bad Robot Games, founded in 2022 with the participation of Hollywood producer J.J. Abrams, is already approaching the alpha testing phase. In the near future, it is planned to launch closed playtests for a limited circle of players. The community reacted ambiguously: some of the audience enthusiastically received the news, while others expressed skepticism, recalling unsuccessful projects of the genre, such as Back 4 Blood and Evolve, to which Booth had nothing to do.
