Activision turned down Steven Spielberg: the director wanted to make a Call of Duty film
It was recently announced that Paramount would be working on a film adaptation of the Call of Duty series, but an interesting detail was that Steven Spielberg himself had previously expressed interest in the project.
According to Puck, the legendary director's team offered Activision various ideas for the future film, but Spielberg insisted on full creative control and did not want the publisher to interfere in the process. This approach was unacceptable for the company, and the collaboration did not take place.

Almost nothing is known about the film itself. Production is in its early stages, and there is no information about the plot, actors, or director. The only confirmation is that the project does exist, and Paramount will be working on it.
