Microsoft reminded about the end of support for Windows 10 and offered two ways to extend its work
The company's official website has posted a reminder about the imminent end of support for the popular OS. On October 14, 2025, the system will stop receiving security updates, bug fixes, and technical support. However, for those who do not want to switch to Windows 11, the company has left the option to extend the use of the "ten" without risking cybersecurity.

The first option is the Extended Security Updates subscription. It will allow you to continue receiving patches for a year and will cost private users $30 annually, and organizations - from $61 per computer. The second option is related to backup via OneDrive. 5 GB of memory is available for free in the cloud, but for a full backup you may need to expand the storage to 100 GB for $2 per month.
Interestingly, even a decade after its release, Windows 10 occupies almost half of the market, and this is probably why Microsoft is paying special attention to ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining security for those who remain on the old system.
