New Ghost of Yotei Trailer Shows Dozens of Ways to Deal with Enemies

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Sucker Punch Productions have released a new trailer for the upcoming samurai action game Thousand Blades. The video shows a variety of methods for destroying opponents — the protagonist is a master of various types of melee weapons, and also uses firearms, from rifles to pistols, turning fights into bloody and dynamic duels.

The creators describe the project as an independent spin-off, the events of which unfold in rural Japan in the 17th century, three hundred years after the plot of Ghost of Tsushima. The story is led by the mercenary Atsu, pursued by her own demons and driven by a thirst for revenge. Her path passes through the harsh northern lands of the country, where she hunts those who once deprived her of her family.

Ghost of Yotei will be released on October 2 exclusively on PlayStation 5, and will later appear on PC.
