The Wolf Among Us 2 is shrouded in mystery—even the writers don't know the game's fate.

The original The Wolf Among Us became one of Telltale's most popular games, but its sequel has been in a prolonged limbo. The sequel was repeatedly canceled, then relaunched, and now it's completely disappeared from the news. The uncertainty is underscored by the fact that even the project's writers have no information about its current status.

AdHoc Studio co-founder Nick Herman revealed that his team has completed a full script for The Wolf Among Us 2, but the fate of the script remains a mystery. He claimed the story was stronger than the first game, but after handing the project over to Telltale, AdHoc switched to its own project, Dispatch, which is already close to release, while The Wolf Among Us 2 hasn't shown any signs of life. Herman admitted he doesn't know to what extent their script will ultimately be used, as such projects are often rewritten.

The game was announced back in 2017, but Telltale's collapse has cast doubt on its future. In 2019, a re-announcement took place, but after that, the project disappeared from the horizon again, leaving fans in the dark.
