Just a couple of months after the release of the latest chapter in the gangster saga, rumors emerged that production on the next installment in the franchise had already begun. The rumors were sparked by a slip of the tongue by actress Carina Conti, who played Isabella Torrisi in the latest game.

During a livestream on the Bubbly Nuggets channel, Conti mentioned that the studio is working on a new game, but did not reveal any specific details. It remains unclear whether the next Mafia game will continue the story of The Old Country or whether players will be transported to a different era and setting.

Mafia: The Old Country was released on August 7, 2025, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The title's plot follows the events of the 1910s, when Enzo Favara joins the Sicilian mafia in hopes of gaining wealth and power.
