A blogger claimed that Rockstar support staff is helping hackers in GTA Online.

Despite Grand Theft Auto V remaining one of the most successful games in history, its online mode has long suffered from an influx of cheaters. Until recently, it was believed that these cheaters operated independently, but a YouTube blogger named Mors Mutual Insurance is convinced that the cybercriminals are assisted by Rockstar Games technical support staff.

In his investigation, he described a scheme in which hackers allegedly pay employees of third-party companies that service Rockstar services. In exchange, these companies grant them access to GTA Online administrative tools and the former Rockstar Social Club, or inject malicious code directly into the servers. This allows the scammers to obtain other people's accounts, bypass two-factor authentication, seize clans and rare gamer tags, and even access players' personal data.

According to the blogger, Rockstar is well aware of the existence of this "black market" but prefers to keep a low profile, limiting itself to patching old vulnerabilities. Meanwhile, parent company Take-Two is actively combating platforms that resell accounts.

Mors Mutual Insurance did not provide any evidence to support its claims or name those involved, but noted that the hackers showed it the administrative menu and even showed it its own credentials.
