Voxel's fan-made Duke Nukem remaster is nearing release and has already captivated audiences.

A modder using the pseudonym Cheelo is preparing to release Voxel Duke Nukem, an unofficial remaster of the iconic shooter created by a single enthusiast. The author completely transformed the original sprites, replacing them with over a thousand voxel models. This ensured the game retains its authentic style but features noticeably more detailed graphics and accurate rendering in modern resolutions.

The remaster's first trailer has generated a strong response from the community: fans note that the project looks impressive and successfully captures the spirit of the classics, while being visually on par with the official remasters. Cheelo spent over three years developing Voxel Duke Nukem.

A release date for the updated version has not yet been announced, but the author has promised a release very soon. He previously released the successful Voxel DOOM remaster, which received high praise from retro shooter fans.
