Blackwood, an action film about a DVD salesman who becomes a killer by night, has been announced.

The organizers of the prestigious Golden Joystick Awards have announced the start of voting for the best titles of 2025. GTA 6 is among the nominees, vying for success in two categories: "Best Trailer" and "Most Anticipated Game."

Rockstar Games' action film has held the title of most anticipated game for the second year in a row: it also topped the same category in 2024. This is unsurprising, given the colossal fan interest in the title and the phenomenal success of the first official trailer, which broke YouTube viewership records.

The crime action film is scheduled for release on May 26, 2026. It will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, and, according to insiders, may later be adapted for other platforms.
