Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, a new fighting game set in the Avatar universe, has been announced.

Fans of the cult animated series "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and its sequels have been introduced to a new project: the fighting game Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game. The game promises to bring familiar characters to life in dynamic duels in the spirit of classic arcades.

Developed by Gameplay Group, the project is described as a fast-paced one-on-one battle with the ability to summon support characters. Players will have 12 fighters available at launch, and in addition to online battles and matches against AI, the developers have prepared a full-fledged story campaign.

The game's key feature is its completely hand-crafted 2D animation, creating a truly cartoon-like experience. Based on the debut footage, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game looks like it's bringing the original Nickelodeon animation to life.

The game is scheduled for release on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2, but a specific release date has not yet been announced.
